Bollywood actor Salman Khan has a massive fan following on all his social media handles. Being such a famous Bollywood actor is not easy and celebrities are often on the receiving end of several haters and sometimes are even subject to awful death threats online. Recently, ahead of Salman Khan’s scheduled hearing on September 27 in the blackbuck poaching case, the megastar has received a chilling death threat in a social media post on a student union’s Facebook page and has threatened with extreme consequences.

The Facebook post was made by Gairi Shooter with a picture of Salman Khan. The post was written on the Facebook wall of Student Organization of Punjab University (Sopu) on September 16 and it read, “Salman, think, you can save yourself from Indian law, however, Vishnoi Samaj and Sopu Party have announced death sentence for you. You are an accused in Sopu’s court. Salaam sahid da nu; Respect girls; Save animals; Avoid drugs & help poors; Sukha kahlon Garry.” The post went viral on social media after which police initiated an investigation. DCP Dharmendra Yadav told IANS, “The police are on alert. We also gave proper security to the celebrity when he came here for hearing previously. An investigation has been initiated.”

This is not the first time that Salman Khan has received threats online. Earlier, gangster Laurence Bishnoi had also threatened Salman after which security for the actor had been increased. Meanwhile, Salman Khan has a hearing on September 27 and at the last hearing, the court had said that if Salman Khan does not appear, his bail could be canceled.
